Overview
Reputask is a Komodoplex experiment aimed at designing a more trustworthy task-based work system. Its focus is on decentralized reputation, escrow, and dispute resolution that still feels familiar to non-crypto users.
Reputask imagines a work platform that combines a familiar Web2 experience with a more transparent trust layer. It is not just a task marketplace, but a coordination and reputation system where accepting work, holding escrow, resolving disputes, and evaluating outcomes leave a trail that can be audited more clearly.
The Problem It Addresses
Task-based platforms often stall at the same pressure points: it is hard to know who is truly trustworthy, payments are vulnerable to disputes, and final decisions remain too opaque in the hands of platform operators. Reputask started from a simple question: what if trust was not only promised in the UI, but designed into the system itself?
Experiment Focus
- Reputation that is easier to read and harder to manipulate
- Escrow to reduce friction between clients and workers
- Dispute resolution with a clearer and more auditable flow
- A hybrid approach that stays friendly for non-crypto users
Current Shape
Reputask is currently positioned as a devnet proof of concept. That means it is not presented as a mature commercial product yet, but as an active laboratory for testing trust architecture, user experience, and operational viability before going further.
Why It Matters to Komodoplex
As a lab project, Reputask shows how Komodoplex thinks: not only by building visual surfaces, but by reworking the underlying system when trust, coordination, and accountability need to be designed more seriously.
